In 2014, when I ran for Commissioner of Fulton County's newly created District 5, I told residents that I was not the typical politician, rather a community servant. As a community servant that became an elected official, I have consistently throughout my term brought the county government to the people. This is what I idealize as "good government", where elected officials create opportunities to connect with their constituents. This year due to redistricting the new DISTRICT 5 will be comprised of South Fulton, Union City, Fairburn, Palmetto, Chattahoochee Hills, and some parts of College Park and Atlanta. Through the past 7 years, I have served as a Executive Sponsor of Public Safety, Arts & Culture, and Economic Development, and I look forward to partnering with these cities on these vital quality of life accelerators.

 

Since 2015, I have held over 50 town tall meetings sharing information about Fulton County services and our partners. My office hosts annual hiring fairs, family health events, film festivals, back to school drives, and more. We also have annual initiatives where we feed and collect clothing for the homeless and challenge and award both high school and college students with scholarships.
