In 2014, when I ran for Commissioner of Fulton County's newly created District 5, I told residents that I was not the typical politician, rather a community servant. As a community servant that became an elected official, I have consistently throughout my term brought the county government to the people. This is what I idealize as "good government", where elected officials create opportunities to connect with their constituents. Since 2015, I have held over 30 town tall meetings sharing information about Fulton County services and our partners. My office hosts annual hiring fairs, family health events, film festivals, and back to school drives. We also have annual initiatives where we feed and collect clothing for the homeless and challenge and award students with scholarships.
